KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Selfie lovers, rejoice. With the ultimate photo trend being a major factor in most people’s lives, tech companies are continuously providing for the demand of high quality selfies. Chinese mobile company, vivo has come out with the V7+ that aims to provide the ultimate selfie.
Bye bye blur?
The 24 Megapixel front-facing camera features an LED soft light flash. This ensures sharper and clearer selfies even when the lighting is not at its best, without the harsh lighting of regular flash lighting. The phone also uses the Face Beauty 7.0 feature. This brightens and evens out complexions – even in dimly-lit environments.
Another feature that stood out is the V7+’s Portrait Mode. Blurred backgrounds for sharper contrasts have such a great appeal. With the absence of a second front-facing camera which its predecessor, the V5, had, the V7+ uses its software upgrade to give users this sought-after effect.
“As a heavy smartphone user myself, having the perfect smartphone is crucial in my life. With the new FullViewTM Display and 24MP Front Camera, vivo V7+ gets the job done; not only does it captures my most memorable moments and perfect selfies, I get to view it again on amazing screen” Janna Nick, vivo V7+ ambassador, said at the event.
The better front-facing camera also provides for better facial recognition technology. Admittedly, it does not work as well in dim lighting. However, that’s to be expected.
Display – near borderless
The V7+ boasts a near boarderless display, adding a luxe factor to the phone. The 18:9 FullViewTM Display on a 5.99-inch screen offers 12.5% more visual display area compared to traditional 16:9 screens.
Gamers can also have a more immersive experience with its 84.4% screen-to-body ratio, and by activating the phone’s Game Mode function. This blocks incoming calls and messages during game play, guaranteeing uninterrupted fun.
More on the specs
The V7+ comes equipped with a dual nano sim card slot, a Qualcomm octa-core CPU and 4GB RAM. This ensures a smooth and seamless user experience. No lags on app changes and in gaming.
Audio wise, the V7+ has been upgraded with an AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for an exceptional music experience. Its Funtouch 3.2 OS is built with user-friendly features such as Smart Split 3.0 and Face Access.
Security wise, you get a fingerprint scanner and passcode options as well.
A fingerprint scanner has also been installed behind the phone, right on top of the vivo logo. While this is different from the usual placement of fingerprint scanners, we found it convenient for use as well.
The V7+ is now available for purchase in Crown Gold and Matte Black at RM1,499 (USD 354.08) through vivo concept stores, partner stores, and e-commerce marketplaces all over Malaysia. – The Binge
